 KASS MARATHON 2011

KASS Club is a membership club for all the KASS FM listeners, who have formed sporting activities to promote sports among the club members and hold major sporting events that bring together listeners from various parts of the country.

Since inception, the KASS Club has managed this event. The event has and continues to attracts amateur and professional runners from all over the world.Kass Marathon continues to grow and this year's event is expected to be greater and bigger.

The sporting events offer new initiatives through our special business programmes. Your Participation will offer your organization opportunities for marketing and advertising as well as a chance to gain from the exposure to the KASS FM listeners where one will see and interact with the community.

Kass Marathon

The Kass Marathon is organized and takes place within the home of athletes. This is a unique event because it draws together all the athletics heroes and allows them to participate in an event that is of their own and homegrown. The Kass Marathon is historic since it will be run between Kapsabet and Eldoret, a high altitude area where the runners will experience one of the toughest routes in marathon racing, and will attract a large number of first timers.


This keeps the races affordable while ensuring a world-class experience for all of our runners.The  cost will ensure that all the willing upcoming athletes will afford and be able to take part in the event.

As a non-profit organization all the fees are reinvested in our races, our operations and our programs.

The Kass Marathon featured Ksh. 1.5 M in prize money for the 2011 event. Kenya’s Paul Koech and Rita Busienei won the men’s and women's categories respectively.
